The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) Center for Directed Energy (CDE) and the University of Notre Dame have successfully tested the AFIT Active Pointer Tracker (AAPT) in flight. This is a key component of the Airborne Aero-Optics Multi-Research Initiative sponsored by the High Energy Laser Joint Technology Office. MZA supports AFIT and Notre Dame in the AAOL development with modeling, analysis, and aero-optical data reduction.
